To prevent damages to your body you should cut down on the amount that you run every once in a while. One week out of every six, only run half of what you normally do. Not only will your body get a little much-needed rest, the reduced mileage will keep your running schedule varied and prevent you from hitting a plateau.

Test out a bench prior to working out on it. Check the padding on the bench by putting pressure on the seat with your thumb. If you feel wood or metal that is under the bench, get another seat.

Doing box squats can help you add size to and strengthen your quadriceps. Box squats are a great exercise for improving your normal squats. The best part about a box squat is it’s simplicity. All that’s needed to pull it off is a box and some weights. You are going to pause briefly as you are coming back down from the squat.
